I am an American History teacher by trade and the mother of two boys.  In this role of motherhood, I found myself venturing into a new world of storytelling as a way to help my boys overcome the small challenges they faced each day...and night.  Hey You Monsters!  Get Back!  was my attempt to help my oldest son, Wilson, overcome nighttime fears and, perhaps a way to let "mom and dad" get a little rest!


I grew up in Columbia, Missouri,  where I graduated from Hickman High School in 1985.  I then attended the University of Missouri where I was a member of the Golden Girl dance squad and graduated with a degree in Secondary Education, Social Studies in 1989.  I am married to Mark Pfeiffer and we have two amazing sons, Wilson and Brady.


Hey You Monsters!  Get Back!  is my first book...but hopefully not my last!!
